　　一、英語笑話

　　As a stranger entered a little country store, he noticed a sign warning, "Danger! Beware of dog!" posted on the glass door. Inside, he noticed a harmless old hound dog asleep on the floor beside the cash register. "Is that the dog folks are supposed to beware of?" he asked the owner. "Yep, that's him," came the reply. 　　One day, Zhang Guaiya ***the county magistrate*** was patrolling the government buildings.

　　The officer didn’t give in and said, “It’s nothing to steal just a copper piece. Could it be that you can kill me?”

　　Zhang Guaiya was very angry and sent him to be executed.”

　　張乖崖十分憤怒，就把他押到刑場斬首示眾。
