  :Storm

Every time when we enter a greenhouse, we always see Rowers grow there blossoming. Because they are in the greenhouse, weather is out of question; even in a heavy storm, flowers can still stand there safe and sound as Picture 1 shows. However, as soon as the greenhouse is moved aside, those flowers will soon become withered as we see in Picture 2. Simple as it is, the symbolic meaning the pictures convey is deep and profound.

Due to the family planning policy, more and more couples have only one child. It is a very good tendency; Whereas, it is also because they have only one child, many parents care their "little king or queen" too much more than parents a generation ago. They do almost everything for the young which children originally should do by themselves. The only thing they want is that their children can get high marks in studies. Apparently; those young are just like {lowers grow, in the greenhouse. They are destined to gain nothing except for high grades in studies when they grow up. But studying is not everything for a people to live in the society. Once they have to leave their parents, for instance, to go to college, we are sure that they can not accommodate to the life there. Because then, lots of things need to do by

themselves instead of their parents. To avoid this phenomenon, both parents and children should make some changes. Parents should be children's guidance, net totally doing everything for them. On the other hand, children must prevent the rely on family too much, they must try to deal with things by them selves as much as possible. 0nly this, can the young gain experiences necessary for their future living and become a useful people for the society.

  :Culture--National and International

Here in this picture is an American girl in traditional Chinese costume. Every year, China receives millions of foreigners pouring into this old oriental country to taste new foods, listen to different music, study the architecture and literature, or may be to open up new perspectives on life. The Chinese fashion seems to represent a new world trend day by day.

Most people feel that it is impossible to really know a culture without speaking the language since language is the main medium through which culture is transmitted. All people' s basic needs and philosophies are similar and it's these cultural common

characteristics upon which we can build understanding, respect and communication. Meanwhile, modern transportation and communications have reduced the world to a "global village", which makes it easier to explore many fascinating cultural differences. What' s more, discovering how people from other regions or other countries see the world can be an enriching experience.

China's entry into the World Trade Organization as well as China's winning over the hid for the 2008 Olympic Games shows its strong mind to attend world affairs. On the other hand, the promising nation is opening up to welcome guests from all over the world for cultural and economic exchanges.

  :Love

As is generally believed, Hove is probably the noblest of all the worthy feelings of mankind. Without love there exists no association between human beings, no mutual sympathy and help, and ultimately, no responsibility to the society. Every one of us should show love to those who are in need and at the same time tend to hope to be loved. As the picture below depicts, the noble love is just a smiling lamp whose rays become brighter where it is darker. So the symbolic meaning of the cartoon is that help is most desired where one is in difficulties.

Let's take the Project Hope for example. When a poor little girl in a remote rural area has to drop out of school on account of poverty, a small sincere contribution from the society will help her to get out of the difficulty and to

continue with her schooling. Let's have another example. The year 1998 saw a serious flood in Hubei Province. Many houses were swept away and many local inhabitants were killed or injured in it. At that time the people all over the country were united as one. A large number of contributions were raised and sent to the severely affected areas, which helped the victims to relieve their difficult situation. The two examples given above manifest that love is a lamp which is the brighter the darker a place is.

As far as my suggestion as to the best way to show love is concerned, whenever one gets in trouble, it is our duty to lend a helping hand to him. Love means help. We should never hesitate to show our love to anyone in distress. I believe that only if our society is full of love, tomorrow will be better and brighter.
