  As the development of our society, we are all under heavy pressure because of fierce competition, fast-paced lifestyles, and etc. All the potential factors have big influence on our daily life.

  Some people think working under pressure keeps us motivated. Maybe a little pressure is good for us, but too much pressure is not beneficial to us.

  Scientific studies show that people working under too much pressure generally don’t perform as well as they do when are not under extreme pressure. Psychologically, too much pressure can lead to mental problems or disorders. In recent years, there has been an increase in stress-related diseases among college and high-school students.

  How to alleviate our pressure in an effective way? How to weaken the effects of stress?

  We can proceed from the following aspects.

  1. Exercise regularly. Physical activity plays a key role in reducing and preventing the effects of stress. Make time for at least 30 minutes of exercise, three times per week.

  2. Eat a healthy diet. Well-nourished bodies are better prepared to cope with stress, so be mindful of what you eat.

  3. Get enough sleep. Adequate sleep fuels your mind, as well as your body. Feeling tired will increase your stress because it may cause you to think irrationally.

  4. Besides, Listening to the gentle music is a good way to reduce our stress.

  5. Sometimes even crying is an efficient way to release stress.

  Pressure is a serious problem in today's world. Students in our class are under too much pressure. Some students can't get on well with their classmates, while others may worry about their exams.

  I'm always under pressure, too. My parents want me to be the top student in class. So they send me to all kinds of after-classes at weekends. Last Monday evening, I had a talk with my mother. I told her I was not lazy. I really felt tired. I needed time to relax. My mother agreed with me at last. So I think a conversation with parents is necessary to solve the problem.
