　　1、英語可說 arrange to do sth ： 其意為“安排或準備做某事”。如：

　　They arranged to start early. 他們準備一早出發。

　　I’ve arranged to see her tonight. 我已安排今晚同他見面。

　　We still have to arrange how to go there. 我們還得安排如何去那兒。

　　2、英語不能說 arrange to do sth ： 可改用arrange for sb to do sth，其意為“安排某人做某事”。如：

　　He’s arranged for me to attend the meeting. 他已安排我去參加會議。

　　We have arranged for the car to come at nine. 我們已安排好讓汽車9點鐘來。

　　注：該結構有時可與後接從句的句型轉換。如：

　　We arranged for the meeting to be put off for a week. / We arranged that the meeting be put off for a week. 我們安排把會議推遲一週後召開。

　　1 . appear to do sth 似乎要……。如：

　　He appears to have a lot of money. 他似乎很有錢。

　　He appeared not to notice anything. 他似乎沒看見什麼。

　　注：有時不定式用進行式或完成式等。如：

　　It appears to be raining. 似乎在下雨。

　　You appear to have traveled a lot. 看來你去過不少地方。

　　2 . it appears that [as if ]… 似乎……。如：

　　It appears that [as if] he will win. 看來他會贏。

　　It appeared that he didn’t like her. 似乎他並不喜歡她。

　　注：以上句型有時可與後接不定式的結構轉換。如：

　　It appears that you have made a mistake. / You appear to have made a mistake. 似乎你弄錯了。

　　3 . There appears to be… 似乎……。如：

　　There appears to be no danger now. 現在似乎沒有危險了。

　　注：該句型有時可與後接 that 從句的句型轉換。如：

　　There seems to have been a mistake. / It appears that there has been a mistake. 看來一直就有錯。

　　高考英語高頻動詞：cut的用法

　　1 . cut sb sth 為某人切某物。如：

　　Cut me some pineapple. 給我切幾片菠蘿吧。

　　He cut me a slice of bread. 他為我切了一塊麵包。

　　注：該句型也可轉換為：

　　Cut some pineapple for me.

　　He cut a slice of bread for me.

　　2 . cut sth into sth 把某物切成某物。如：

　　First cut the meat into small pieces. 先把肉切成小塊。

　　He cut the apple into halves. 他把它切成了兩半。

　　注：若指分為兩半，可說成 cut sth into halves 或 cut sth in half。

　　3 . cut down 砍倒。如：

　　They cut down the big tree. 他們把這棵大樹砍倒了。

　　削減，壓縮，縮減。如：

　　Expenses ought to be cut down in every way. 應該在一切方面減少開支。

　　You’d better cut the article down to about 2,000 words. 你最好能把這篇文章壓到兩千字左右。

　　4 . cut in 插入，插話。如：

　　Don’t cut in when others are talking. 別人說話時別插話。

　　He kept cutting in on our conversation. 我們談話時他老是插話。

　　注：cut in on sth 有時可說成 cut into sth, 如上面第二句也可說成：

　　He kept cutting into our conversation.

　　插隊，超車。如：

　　He cut in at the head of the line. 他在隊伍的前面插隊。

　　The car overtook me and then cut in on me. 那輛小車超了我的車，然後插在我前面。

　　5 . cut off 切斷，隔斷，斷絕。如：

　　We were cut off in the middle of our telephone conversation. 我們在電話裡談話談了一半就被切斷了。

　　The flood cut the villagers off from the rest of the world. 洪水切斷了村民們與外界的聯絡。

　　6 . cut out 剪成，戒掉。如：

　　I must cut out smoking. 我必須戒菸。

　　The rain and wind have cut out a deep valley. 風雨侵蝕出了一條深谷。
