英語語法中並列句中的省略介紹

　　並列句中的省略

　　1在並列句中，後面分句中與前面分句相同的部分常常省去，以免重省。例如：

　　She is nurse and he a doctor.

　　她是護士，他是醫生。

　　My brother likes sports and I music.

　　我兄弟喜歡體育，我喜歡音樂。

　　She will go to London and he to New York.

　　她將去倫敦，而他去紐約。

　　2有時由於上下看得很明白，後一句分句中的有些詞語也可省去

　　They tried their best but ***they tried*** in vain.

　　他們盡了力，但是白費勁。

　　She spoke Japanese and ***she spoke*** very fluently atthe beginning.

　　她說了日語，而且開始時還很流利。

　　***Give me***One more chance and I’ll surely succeed.

　　再給一個機會，我一定會成功。

　　補充並列句中的省略：

　　1.若並列從句中的左右兩個分句主語雖然不同，但是兩個分句有相同的be動詞，則可以省略連詞和後一個分局的be動詞。例如：

　　Failing hips can be replaced, clinical depression controlled, cataracts removed in a 30-minute surgical procedure.

　　→Failing hips can be replaced,***省略and***clinical depression ***省略can be***controlled,***省略and***cataracts***省略can be*** removedin a 30-minute surgical procedure.

　　髖骨壞了可以更換，臨床的憂鬱症可以得到控制，白內障僅用30分鐘手術就能治好。

　　2.若並列句中左右兩個分句出現重複的部分，則後一個分句可以省略重複的部分，但是沒重複的部分要保留。例如：

　　Do you remember all those years when scientists argued that smoking would kill us but the doubters insisted that we did not know for sure?

　　→Do you remember all thoseyears when scientists argued that smoking would kill us but the doubtersinsisted that we did not know ***省略that smoking would kill us*** for sure?

　　你還記得那些年科學家說吸菸會致命，但懷疑者堅持說我們並不確定吸菸是否真的會致命嗎?

　　3.在並列句中後面的分句可以省略與前面分句中相同的成分。例如：

　　Tom picked up a coin in the road and handed it to a policeman.

　　→Tom picked up a coin in the road and ***省略Tom*** handed it to a policeman.

　　湯姆在馬路上拾起一枚硬幣並把它交給了警察。

　　注意：

　　並列連詞and, but, as well as, or,or else, both…and…, neither…nor, either…or, not only…but ***also***, rather than, as…as等以及從屬連詞than可連線兩個對等的詞和對等的結構。

　　***1***所連線的謂語形式必須一致。例如：

　　He went shopping, bought some gifts and visited his old friend.

　　***2***所連線的詞或短語形式必須一致。例如：

　　We often go fishing as well as swimming.

　　***3***連線的非謂語動詞的形式必須一致。例如：
