Jean: Honey, do you want any tips for using heroin?

Jaco: No. I am not using it. Why?

Jean: New York health ministry released Heroin for Dummies last week.

  Jaco: What? Seriously?

Jean: Take a look at it here. This is one page from the 16-page guide book.

Jaco: Shoot correctly to avoid infection. Warm your body to show your veins. That’s funny.

Jean: Funny? You think it’s funny? Do you have any idea how many people especially teenagers addicted to drugs? There will be more victims.

Jaco: It might be a problem. But we have to think about the big picture. They will get infected without knowing how to inject correctly. They might even die. But if they know how to protect themselves…

Jean: What big picture? Stop the BS. If they know how to protect themselves, they should never use it. I say they ask for it.

Jaco: They are young. Young people make mistakes. They deserve a chance.

Jean: Monica, I think you should join that beauty contest.

Monica: I know I am not like you. But why do you have to be so kind to emphasize that.

Jean: Mon, I am serious. Come and check this out. You are just a bit overweight. But you have such beautiful eyes.

Monica: No. You are just being sweet. What do you want from me now? I am a little scared. Don’t ever trick me into another blind date.

Jean: Still mad about the guy? I’m sorry.

Monica: A sorry doesn’t cut it. He is too big. I thought I was big. He is even bigger than I am.

Jean: I really mean it this time. Look at this lady. You are about the same size as she. And you have much more charming smiles.

  Monica: You think?

Jean: Remember whom you are talking to. I promise you will be our cover girl next week.

Monica: I need to think. This is too much for me. May I have your word, honey?

Lily: Ann, do you remember SARS?

Ann: Of course, The SARS, an often fatal respiratory disease, outbroken in 2003.

Lily: And do you remember the Sequelae of SARS?

Ann: I am not clear about it.

Lily: After the SARS, most of people forget the Sequelae of SARS and seldom care about them.

Ann: Now, how about their livelihood?

Lily: Most of them have dog's lives. About 60% of them face family crisis. The SARS did great harm to them physically and mentally. Most of them have kinds of sequelae, like lung disease, especially the mental maladjustment, caused by people’s discrimination.

Ann: We should give them more care.

Lily: It is obligatory, at the same time, we appeal to the government to build more scientific and perfect institutional arrangement for them.

Ann: I hope they can be out of the SARS’s shadow as soon as possible.

Jaco: Honey, is it something I said? If yes, I’m sorry. I am really sorry.

Jean: No. It’s not about you. H1N1 flu pissed me off.

Jaco: Oh, the flu? Honey, there are people dying out there every day. But there’s nothing we can do about it.

Jean: A mother-to-be was one of the victims. She had no alternative option but to go to hospital for a Caesarian section.

Jaco: The baby got infected, too?

Jean: She had healthy triplets. However, the mother had got complications after the operation. Five days later, she died.

Jaco: Metrorrhagia? Sorry, baby. I should have been there for you and our baby son.

Jean: The mother couldn’t talk after the operation. She wrote. She was too weak. Her handwriting looked like children’s doodling but with love and care. All she was concerned about were the angels. Are they healthy? When can she feed them? Have they had beautiful names?

Jaco: Honey, I’ve made up my mind to donate some money. At this very moment, they need money more than anything else.

Jean: Sure. Let’s do it right now.
