　　一、中國文化的影響

　　例1：***請問，您需要買些什麼?***What do you want to buy?

　　商店售貨員，或者在服務行業工作的人，經常使用這樣的句子，但是它不符合英語習慣用法。這是典型的中國式英語。此話應改為：

　　***1***What can I do for you?

　　***2***Can I help you?

　　例2：***你能告訴我什麼時候我應當寄出我的申請書?***Can you tell me in advance when I should send out my application?

　　這種中式英語缺乏英語中的客氣和婉轉的語氣。這句應當改寫成：

　　I would appreciate it very much should you let me know in advance when I should send my application.

　　或者

　　I would appreciate it very muchthe appropriate time to send my if I am notified in advance of application.

　　二、.過時英語

　　例1：***我決心在她面前絕不再談起這件事。***I’m determinednever to talk about this matter again in front of her

　　determined在英漢詞典中有“決心”的意思，但它並不是標準英語準確的意思。另外它也是比較陳舊的用法。這句應當改寫成：

　　I have resolved never to talk about this matter again in front of her.

　　例2：***今天下午我們班要和三班打一場籃球比賽。***This afternoon our class is going to have a basketball match with Class 3.match儘管有“比賽”的意思，目前更流行的用法是game.所以這句

　　應當改寫為：

　　This afternoon our class is going to play a basketball game with Class 3
