Pollution is, in fact, threatening our existence.

　　The earth is our home and we have the duty to take care of it for ourselves and for our later generations. Fortunately, more and more people have realized these problems. I hope the problem will be solved in the near future and our home will become better and better.

　　全世界的環境問題變得越來越嚴重。例如汽車汙染的空氣影響了人們的呼吸，工廠釋放汙染的氣體，山上的樹木被砍伐，汙水不斷被排人河裡。另外，無論我們走到哪裡，到處可見隨意丟棄的垃圾。事實上，汙染正威脅我們的生存。

　　In the past, my hometown used to be a beautiful place. It was surrounded by plenty of trees and covered with green grass everywhere. Later, people destroyed many trees to turn for its into farmland and a lot of water and soil was carried away down the hills. Thus, much farmland has became waste land. What's worst, this waste land is increasing and our village is suffering from storms. I think it's time for us to realize the importance of protecting the environment and to do something about it, such as planting trees, growing grass and so on.
