The Safety Tips to Kids during Summer Vacation

Summer activities are excited but at the same time they bring risks to children's safety. Therefore, parents and teachers should teach children common sense rules to keep children safe. Children should learn to help themselves stay safe and should learn to handle emergencies.

  1. Children should be able to state their parent's full names, the family phone number or their parent's mobile phone numbers.

  2. Children should be taught to dial 120 and to provide the basic information in the event of an emergency.3. Children should not go out alone.

  4. Children should know it is dangerous to play with fire.

  5. Children should not swim without the guidance of an adult.

  6. Children should be given the names and phone numbers of their family friends.

  7. Children should be taught not to accept gifts or snacks from strangers.

  8. Children should be taught some knowledge to handle an injury.

to win a war with words

In the Warring States Period ***戰國***, the State of Zhao ***趙國*** had a famous general called Zhao She, whose son, Zhao Kuo, was very fond of reading books on military science and discussingstrategy.

He could learn military texts by heart, and when discussing warfare he spoke so clearly andlogically that it seemed that even his father was not his match.

When the State of Qin attacked the State of Zhao, the ruler of Zhao ordered Zhao Kuo to lead 400,000 men to resist the attack.

But since Zhao Kuo had no practical experience of battle, he was defeated and lost his life.

Later people used this idiom to describe those who are good only at theorizing, and lack practical experience.

A father was trying to teach his son the evils of alcohol.

He put one worm in a glass of water and another worm in a glass of whiskey. The worm in the water lived, while the one in the whiskey curled up and died.

"All right, son," asked the father, "What does that show you?"

"Well, Dad, it shows that if you drink alcohol, you will not have worms."
