簡介
本書以英語寫作課教學中貫穿啟發性指引為主線,重點闡釋語言表達方面準確恰當、通順連貫、言簡意賅、生動形象,以及寫作過程中覓材取材、佈局謀篇、論題建構、修辭訴諸等問題,並結合現代英語修辭學理論來指導學習者的英語寫作實踐。
本書在內容上對講授知識點的傳統做法作了創造性的改進。理論指導與操作訓練並重,既有利於教師的講授,又有利於提高學生的英語寫作水平。
本書是上海市教委重點教材,可供英語專業高年級本科生、研究生使用。
介紹
本書針對中國高校英語專業學生的特點,力圖在現有同類教材的基礎上有所創新。它與國內同類教材的**區別在於理論聯絡實際,即用現代西方修辭學理論指導英語寫作實踐。
本書共六章,**章簡明扼要地闡述了關於寫作的幾個基本觀點,為後續章節中的理論解釋作了鋪墊。第二章介紹被英語修辭學認為是寫作的**個重要環節的“覓材取材”,並闡釋了幾種重要方法。第三章講述寫作中的選詞及修辭策略,主要介紹了詞義的類別和語體特點,並提出了詞彙處理的種種策略,如靜態變動態、辭格使用等。第四章講解句子的建構及其修辭策略,重點是語句的通順連貫、言簡意賅、生動活潑等修辭問題,而非句法的正確與否。第五章講述段落寫作。本章展示了段落的基本結構及其發展的幾種重要模式,並提出了作為論題的段落的建構策略。第六章闡述文章寫作,先介紹文章的傳統發展模式,然後講解作為論題的文章的寫作要領以及文章開頭、結尾的修辭策略。本書的*後兩章對中國學生英語寫作中的常見問題進行了分析,並提出了相應的解決辦法。為了便於教學,本書各章都附有針對性的練習。
