關於篇一
My name is Matt and I was born in July,1993. Now I am a junior student in DUT, majoring in finance. Comparatively speaking, my major background is more corresponding to the Summer Davos forum, So I think this is one of my competitive advantages. The other would be the volunteer experience I have in last semester, which is actually about helping a foreigner to volunteer in communities and schools. According to that, I am confident in doing this volunteer job as well.
I actually plan to live in the campus after august 1st, so I can start working in roughly September 1st. Since the distance from here to both airport and International Convention Center is acceptable, the punctuality is guaranteed.. It would be great if the working schedule can be within the range from 8:00am to 6:00pm but it could be flexible. If I pass the interview, I can assure you I’ll take part in every process, write response paper and take working photos if necessary. I am also ok with being a substitute and obey any position arrangement. As for the subsidy I would receive, saving it for my graduation trip would be my first option.
Anyway, I would be honored if I can be a volunteer for the summer Davos forum and I would dedicate myself to do it well.

I am xuexila,I have two reasons to apply the volunteering. First, I am interested in activities of aiding some countries and people. I went overseas several times. Whenever go there, I saw many occasion in which the pool or black people did not treat equal. They begged for money or food, and had menial tasks like opening the doors, cleaning the table, and so on. From that, I always thought that "If all people would simply help each other regardless of a prejudice and discrimination, people would be so much happier than now." It is similar in the Development Assistance Committee's intend. Therefore, I think, I hope to learn a great deal just from participating in this forum by a volunteer. Second, I want to set more specific plans. For that, I need to have various experiences on site. I want to be a good supporter for the world, but It is an indefinite plan, not a specific plan. Also, I do not know well what can I do for those and what I have the most interest in. However, If I have this opportunity, I could get more efficient information, and it could help me not only to find what I want to do but also set more specific goals. I think It is important for me to have field experience. It is definitely different from studying theoretical principles. Those are why I apply for this High Level Forum on Aid Effectiveness.
I have always tried to have a variety of educational experiences, so I have participated in various activities as follows.
<Volunteer work>
2007.05~2008.12 Library for the blind in Korea: reading Braille books and recoding
2008.12~2009.01 Volunteer activity in Melbourne CVA: Protection of the environment
<Travel>
2008.08~2008.09 Vsit Europe for the project <Fair TRADE>
2008.10~2008.11 Visit East-Southern Asia for experience of culture: Hongkong, Macau, Malaysia
2009~ Backpacking - Japan, Vietnam, Sydney
<Career>
2008.07~2008.12 ooo: Registration, VIP support
2009.08~2011.04 Career for student department at ooo: Planning event for recruiting
2011.04~2011.08 Human resource team in ooo: Personnel affairs.
From the experiences, I could gain various lessons for my life. First, I could see more the world, and add to my knowledge about other people and other places. Second, while I have backpacked alone, I could learn flexibility and adaptability too. Finally, through these travels, I have learned how to work across multiple disciplines and develop team spirit, especially from my volunteer experience. In addition I was a member of a broadcasting club in my university. Through the club I developed an active social life while following seniors and leading juniors. Also I worked as a house-attendant in ooo. From that role, I learned various service skills and I gain a practical know-how about handling problems in a crisis. After graduation, I worked as a administrator at ooo, and as a human resource team member at ooo. This work experience will be very helpful in supporting for this High Level Forum on Aid Effectiveness.
