1.第1句中的“是中國古代文化遺留下來的瑰寶”如果逐字對譯為isa treasure left over by Chinese ancient culture,則出現英文表達邏輯錯誤,left over by應後接施動者,而Chinese ancient culture 顯然不合適,故“遺留下來”應省譯,而用介詞of表達“漢字簡體系”和“中國古代文化”之間的所屬關係。
2.第3句“隨著......,......的現象越來越常見”可套用句型with... comes a commonly seen phenomenonthat。年輕人拿起筆卻寫不出字來的“現象”的同位語,由that引出,譯為young people are barely able towrite with pen In hand, “拿起筆”可譯為時間狀語從句when they take up the pen,但不如介詞短語withpen in hand來得簡單、地道。
