　　On Saturday 22 July there will be visits to different places. Everybody is welcome. Each person can choose to go to one of the places—a factory, a farm, a school or a hospi tal. Please sign your name at the Service Desk before 9:00 p. m. and say which place yom wish to visit.

　　We will set out after breakfast at eight amt come back in the afternoon. We will have lunch at the place of visit ***or: Lunch will be served at the place of visit***.

　　Taiwan lies to the west of the Pacific Ocean. North of it lies thc East China Sea. The Taiwan Straits separates Taiwan from Fujian.

　　It’s rich in natural resources. Bananas, rice, tea and so on arc famous at home and abroad. Clothes, food and so on are also well-known all over the world.

　　Its scenery is so beautiful and irs climate is so pleasant that travellers throughout the world come for a visit.

　　Taiwan has been a part of China since ancient thnes. Most people of the island came from Fujian and Guangdong. All the people on both sides of the Straits have a strong wish to unite our motherland.

　　Newspapers and websites are two major new media in the world today, both of which can provide us with lots of news and information. But they’re different in some ways.

　　Newspapers enjoy a longer history and often come out daily with more reliable news and information. They can be carried and read almost anywhere you like. So many people like reading them. But they can only contain texts and photos.

　　On the other hand, websites are quite new and popular, especially among young people. Websites have not only texts with pictures but also audios and videos, which makes stories more interesting. What’s more, they are updated from time to time. So the latest news is always seen on websites instead of in newspapers. But it is not quite convenient for people without a computer connected with the Internet to get information from websites.
