基本釋義

⒈  南朝梁·僧祐《弘明集》說，古代音樂家公明儀善於彈琴，有一次看見牛吃草，便為牛彈了一曲，但牛卻不顧琴聲幽雅，仍低著頭吃草。後用“對牛彈琴”譏笑聽話的人什麼也不懂。也諷刺說話的人不看物件，瞎說一氣。

例勸告他簡直是對牛彈琴。
