　　May：

　　I need some medicine.

　　我需要一些藥。

　　Doctor：

　　For whom?

　　給誰的。

　　May：

　　My younger brother. He suffers from a bad cold.

　　我弟弟。他著涼了，很難受。

　　Doctor：

　　What symptoms does he have?

　　他有什麼症狀?

　　May：

　　Fever and a bad cough.

　　發燒，咳嗽也很厲害。

　　Doctor：

　　I got it. Don't worry, just a common cold.

　　知道了，別擔心，只是普通感冒。

　　May：

　　What kind of medicine does he need?

　　他需要什麼樣的藥品呢?

　　Doctor：

　　Patulin will do.

　　感冒藥就可以了。

　　May：

　　How many pills for each time?

　　每次要吃多少粒啊?

　　Doctor：

　　Six per day, and two after each meal.

　　一天六粒，每頓飯後兩粒。

　　May：

　　Thank you very much.

　　非常感謝。

　　Doctor：

　　My pleasure.

　　樂意效勞。

　　Edward：

　　Hello, please give me a bottle of aspirin.

　　您好，麻煩給我開瓶阿司匹林。

　　Doctor：

　　Do you have a bad cold?

　　是得重感冒了嗎?

　　Edward：

　　Yes, and a fever, too.

　　是啊，還發燒。

　　Doctor：

　　Aspirin is not very effective for a fever.

　　阿司匹林對發燒效果不好。

　　Edward：

　　What medicine should I take?

　　那我該吃什麼藥?

　　Doctor：

　　Just take this medicine. It's effective for a cold induced fever.

　　吃這種藥吧。它對感冒引起的發燒很有效。

　　Edward：

　　Ok, I'll get that one.

　　好，那就給我開這種藥吧。

　　Edward：

　　Great, I received an offer just now.

　　太好了，我剛剛收到入職通知了。

　　May：

　　Congratulations. I start work next Monday and will have my physical exam tomorrow.

　　恭喜你。我下週一入職，明天做入職體檢。

　　Edward：

　　I need to have a physical as well. Do you know what it's like?

　　我也要做體檢，你知道入職體檢都檢查些什麼嗎?

　　May：

　　I'm not sure. It seems to be the same as a regular checkup.

　　不太清楚，好像和普通的體檢差不多。

　　Edward：

　　Why do we need to have one at all for a new job, anyway?

　　May：

　　Well, companies don't want to hire workers that are sickly because they might be unable to complete their jobs.
