背恩忘義：  辜負別人對自己的恩義。例背恩忘義，傷化薄俗。——《漢書·張敞傳》英fail to live up to one's benevolence and loyalty(relationship);

得魚忘筌：  筌是用來捕魚的器具。得到了魚，就忘掉筌。比喻達到目的以後就忘了賴以成功的東西。例筌者所以在魚，得魚而忘筌。——《莊子·外物》英forget the means by which the end is attained; forget the trap as soon as the fish is caught;

樂不思蜀：  《三國志·蜀志·後主傳》：“後主舉家東遷，既至洛陽”裴松之注引晉·習鑿齒《漢晉春秋》：“司馬文王與禪（劉禪）宴，為之作故蜀技，旁人皆為之感愴，而禪喜笑自若……他日，王問禪曰：‘頗思蜀否？’禪曰：‘此間樂，不思蜀。’”後因以“樂不思蜀”謂樂而忘返或樂而忘本。

數典忘祖：  據《左傳》記載，春秋時晉國大夫籍談沒有回答好周天子的提問而被周天子諷刺為“數典而忘其祖”。後比喻忘掉自己本來的情況或事物的本源。英give all the historical facts except those about one's own ancestors; forget one's ancestors and ancestral tradition;

過河拆橋：  比喻事情成功之後，便不再顧念藉以成事的人。例這小子忘恩負義，過河拆橋。英remove the bridge after crossing the river——ungrateful;

忘恩負義：  忘卻別人對自己的好處，做事有損於過去的恩義。例如此忘恩負義，以致弄到犧牲盟國去訂“密約”的地步。英forgetful; turn on one's friend; kick away the ladder; be devoid of all gratitude;
