　　電話術語

　　Call: vt. n. 打電話

　　Give somebody a call: 給某人打電話

　　I’ll give you a call as soon as I get back to my company. 我一回到公司就給你打電話。

　　Make a call: 打電話

　　We have to make 30 follow-up calls a day. 我們一天要打30個跟進電話。

　　Call somebody: 給某人打電話

　　Call me if you want to go shopping. 如果想去購物，就給我打電話。

　　Call somebody back: 給某人回電

　　He promised to call me back, and he never did, bastard. 他許諾說會給我回電，卻一直沒打過來，這個混蛋。

　　Answer the phone: 接電話

　　Julia, go answer the phone, it might be your cousin. 朱麗葉，去接電話，可能是你表妹。

　　Somebody is on the phone: 某人正在打電話; 在接電話

　　I’m sorry, my father is on the phone, would you call him later? 對不起，我爸正在接電話，你能晚點打過來嗎?

　　Miss the call: 錯過電話,未接到電話

　　I missed my boyfriend’s call last night. 昨晚我錯過了男友的電話。

　　Leave a message: 留言

　　My boss is out of office right now, would you like to leave a message? 我老闆現不在辦公室, 你想留言嗎?

　　The line is busy/engaged: 電話佔線

　　Hang up the phone: 結束通話電話。

　　Hold on ***the phone***: 別結束通話電話

　　Hold on, don’t hang up the phone, I’ll see if Mr. Tony is at his desk. 別結束通話，我看看託尼先生在不在他的辦公桌那。

　　Extension number：分機號

　　Could you connect me to Mr. Tony, the extension number is 020. 能幫我轉到託尼先生嗎?分機號是020。

　　Answering machine: 自動留言機

　　I left a message on her answering machine. 我在她的電話答錄機上留了言。

　　Reach somebody at…通過某號碼聯絡到某人***at後放電話號碼***

　　You can reach me at 12345678, or by my mobile phone. 你可以打電話12345678聯絡到我，或打我手機也行。

　　My phone is dead. It’s auto power off. 我手機沒電了，自動關機了。

　　Over the phone: 電話裡談

　　I’ll let you know my final decision next Monday over the phone. 我下個星期電話通知你我的最後決定.
